Went wheeling yesterday, really happy with how the buggy is performing. Maybe a little too happy. Most of the challenge is gone. I've built it up to be able to tackle all that I wanted to do- and now that I've built it and done it... the thrill is gone.
I either need to build something else, which would require selling Bugly. Or I need to find more challenging obstacles.
What say Pirate?

The longer you wheel, generally your driving skills will improve and you will naturally look for more difficult challenges. An ever evolving vehicle is usually what follows.
I would look to more difficult trails. I grew up very close to Moab, and have run pretty much every thing there, forward, backward, upside down on occasion. Wheeling in the winter has been my solution to making Moab still challenging. Traveling to the Hammers, New Mexico, Ect continues my growth as a wheeler.

Move west
Not really an option.

I guess I'll cheer up once I get out a little more this season. Yesterday was a little tedious because we had several nearly stock Cruisers with us and the going was REALLY slow. Kind of sucks to have the the rig capable of doing some of the hardest obstacles, but needing to stay on the easier trails because of the newbies in the group.

Get old. Really, the older I get the more I want a rig that won't beat me up. I have done commercial trips on rubicon in stock Jeeps and also in mine. Waaay more comfortable. Still refuse to put on the top even in winter. Some things die hard.
It is more about what you make of the experience than the experience makes you.
Have fun, be happy, enjoy.

Wheeling with people that still have their training wheels on can be painful.

Yeah- I don't mean to sound like a d*ck- they're nice guys and all, and I can't blame them for not wanting to tear up their daily drivers- but I didn't really sign up to be trail leader/den mother.
Oh well, another time, another day.

Hammers or AZ trails would be better picks
