One more I'm going to plumb up my brakes. I've got toy axles with toy disk brakes all 4 corners. I've searched and find alot of people use the stock master cylinder with the toy axles, hmmm cuz in the toy world (former toy owner), we always upgrade to newer toy master cylinders (bigger bore). I've also seen a lot of people run the f350 master with no booster at all. Kinda like that idea I don't mind no power brakes.

So what in your opinion is the best setup, Feel like doing this phase only once cuz I know I'll be messing with a lot of other things on a regular basis.:D

I'm running a stock booster and mc with toy v6 drums and 1/2 ton dana discs and the brakes are awesome.

i was wondering what mc i was going to need with d44 front, and IFS chevy rear disks. i heard a 81 firebird mc will fit and work good. i was also thinking about ditching the porp.valve and run 2lb residual valves instead

Gozuki-holding on to that part since my buddies are making disc kits for our rear toy axles...I may still need the capacity of the patented Gozuki Dodge 3/4 ton conversion!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

It sure does look purdy on my bench though...you make nice jewlery!

The m/c from a Ranger is almost bolt-on. The pilot hole and 02 bolt holes line right up. You just need to replace the actuation pin with a longer one. I used an M5 x 40 mm socket head cap screw and a jam nut for this. Along with the obligatory squirt of Lock-Tite.......

I used a stock YJ!!!! Go figure!

hmm some ideas there I'm not scared of making adapters or anything to bolt it up...I'll think alittle more on this one and I'll decide this weekend.

For those of you that used a "firebird, stock yj, ranger" MC...

How are you hooking your brake lines up to it??

Stock zuk lines bolt up? Re-flare stock zuk lines? All new brake lines?

The body of the Ranger M/C has only one outlet for the front brakes and one for the rear. The Zuk M/C has two for the front and one for the back. Therefore, I installed a tee fitting directly on the M/C body for the two front lines, then rebent the two brake lines to fit. They were long enough, so no new lines were neded here. Just be REAL careful not to kink the tubing.

For the rear, unfortunately, the M/C outlet is on the other side of the body, so the existing line wouldn´t reach. However, I wasn´t really keen of having to replace the entire line down to the junction block on the passager front fender well. So I just bent up a really short (around 4" long) peice of tubing and flared both ends, one going into a straight coupling to the existing line and the other plugging directly into the M/C. Looks good, no leaks...:D

I re-ran all of my lines. Single line to the rear and single line to the front! I put the line lock and the proportioning (spelling?) valve where the e-break used to be!!!

I have 44s front and rear with discs. My Zuk mc simply didn't pump enough juice to stop. I found out the hard way.

I took my calipers (measuring calipers) with me to Pick-n-Pull and measured a few mcs to see what would fit with relative ease... I found a 1987 Fiero fit quite well with only minor machining needed to make it fit (turn down the od) in the vacuum assist. The machining was done meticulously with a file and a lot of beer. The beer, of course, helped to keep the aluminum from over heating and warping. Yeah, right.

But, it fits like (insert cliche, here) and I have better pedal that I ever had with the stock mc and small Zuk brakes. The mc was 18 bucks and change.

I did have to convert from standard thread at the mc to metric on my lines, but that was a snap with adapters. The correct way is to completely re-plumb the brake system. That is a winter project. The adapting pieces cost about 10 bucks.

at 1000 yards will meet? do you mean "we will meet?" or "We'll meet"? And isn't sniper quotes kind of a bad thing considering what's going on in the country?

1) Firebird M/C
2) Its been there long before it Started
3) Politically correctness is what is WRONG with fawkin people now a days I suppose you would like me to learn EBONICKS also so I can have a better understanding of the LAZY MOTHER FUCKERS that dont want to learn correct English!:flipoff2:

At 1000yds will meet and you'll never know my name

Is this the example of Ebonics that you spoke of? Try,

At 1000yds we will meet and you'll never know my name
At 1000yds we'll meet and you'll never know my name

"At 1000yds will meet and you'll never know my name" makes no sense. I'm really not trying to be an ass.. I just thought you might want to correct it. You know, it's kind of like walking around with a bogger on you nose and no one telling you.

Yes you are correct, if only my nose were large enough to hold a Bogger Now back to our regular scheduled program. Thank you:p
