So you got an intake off of a newer 4.0. You want a cookie? :D

I have the same one laying on the garage floor to go on my 4.0 Just working out the power steering bracket issue

yes cookie would be nice :D. Its from a 1999 GC.

So you're gonna tie it in to the power steering or grind off that part of the intake or what? Did they take out some other intake manifold bolt holes to tie it into that new style power steering?

With that style intake the power steering is no longer the adjuster for the belt tension. The PS pump is fixed and there is an auto adjuster over by the alternator. Not sure exactly what I will do, I may go with a saginaw pump for more output with my hydro assist.

ya? I like the idea of a self tensioning belt but since I'm still using the 4.2L head (for now at least) it might not line up right if I switched. If it doesn't give enough of a power increase I'll look into doing the head too.

ya I saw that. I'm gonna decide on doing the head after I see how much of an improvement this is.
