Ok need a bit of planning help here...
I have a disabled participant from Idaho who would like a Utah desert outing in the Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions.
I will be driving up from Arizona.
The question is if we should meet in Escalante or Panguitch, they will need a hotel for the night before & after our outing and a place to leave their van during the adventure.

The goal is to spend a couple of days running mild backcountry trails, nothing too crazy, more about the scenery and the adventure. Remember this is a new thing to our participant so no freaking out allowed :)

They will be bringing friends who have a Sportsmobile and we may include 1 or 2 other vehicles if anyone is interested. But please understand you will have a role to play :) Either having someone ride with you, carrying some gear or helping with campsite setup/takedown.
Also there will be pictures and some video taken on this trip so if you are part of the Witness Protection Program don't join us!

So lets hear some suggestions....better to meet in Escalante and if so what trails to run?
Or is it Punguitch and where to go from there?

Remote/dispersed/backcountry camping of course!

If you get this together I would be willing to help. It sounds like a lot of fun. This is probably a once in a life time thing for these people.

It is a go!
I will be meeting the disabled participant in Panguitch on this Friday May 7th, we will do a bit of a day trip in the area and his friends who own a Sportsmobile will meet us Friday night at our campsite. That is one of the great features of the Spot Satellite Messenger..we can send an OK message with our GPS coord's right to their cell phone.

We will run some trails in the area, maybe go over towards Escalante or ?? and get our participant back to his hotel in Panguitch either Sunday night or Monday day.

Anyone that wants to join us can peel off Sunday if needed.

The Disabled Explorers phone number goes to my cell 602 Four 51 Six 079, cb will be on channel 16 and the ham will be on 146.460

We could use an extra passenger seat, someone who wants to take some pics or video and just more company on the trail.
