Rob -
The only thing I've found so far is a reference to 2003 on the EROCC site stating the first event will be in April in Jellico. No dates past that.
Yeah, we are all waiting and April might be a tough pill for me if the people looking at my house today are the buyers, they want to close in April! (3rd time they've looked at the house in the past 3 days).

hehe. Might have that covered. Just signed the contract and the closing date is 5/16/2003. Now I just have to hope that it (ERoCC) is not the last weekend of April...

Thanks Tim. Yep, the lastest we will be up there is mid may. Buyer has the option to move closing up with 30 day notice. As long as its after the holidays, I don't care... :D I know I keep saying this, but I will give you a call soon. Kelly and I are going to drive up there sometime soon for a week to try and decide on the "town" then go back up nearer to closing for a house hunting trip.
I am definitely up for a Windrock trip!
And to keep this kind of on topic: Yeah when are those ERoCC dates/rules comin??

The more the merrier. I got two buddies that are just about done with their rigs. One is a buggy with mogs and the other is a rear steer hybrid with rockwells and a big block, so they should be ready to ride by then easy.
I'll post up when we get a date figured out and we'll see who shows up.
I just read on the TRAILKEEPERS forum that they are having a officals meeting NOV 9TH, so I would say we should see a schedule some time around then.
badassjeepbroo 11-10-2002, 02:25 PM bringin this to the top..... they had there meeting......... any news? tim? :D
TrailKeeper 11-10-2002, 02:57 PM We have a tentative schedule set. Before we announce it we have to confirm it with the facilities we are using, and the cable network that is going to cover it. We hope to have confirmation by Tuesday.
Toddy 11-10-2002, 03:13 PM Tim Kenith will prob have 5 trucks built by then. I hope I can get mine going together in a few weeks, gotta get Dad out tof the shop. Has Stevie even started his yet? last time I was over there all he had was his axles. rkcrawl this is Todd the guy you talked to about spotting for ya at one of the EROCC events. Hollar at me when you head up to start looking, a good friend of the family is a builder and he usually has about 50 houses for sale at a time. I am also kinda looking for a house so we can hook up and tour Knoxville. Where are you gonna be workin? A general area and we might be able to set ya up close to work. See up her soon.
Todd
skulltoy 11-10-2002, 03:31 PM What is NARRCA? I've never heard of it.

I think it is A series calroc (BIG RICH) put together.
what happen to NEUROC ??
bigdude 11-10-2002, 04:22 PM Check jrocc forum for some newly posted info.

NARRCA = North American Regional Rock Crawlers Association
It's what we are doing besides the CalROCS series. At least 2 events in Texas, 2 in Washington, 2 in Arizona, and one in Colorado, this is not a series, but a tour of individual events which will act as qualifiers for a regional championship event Oct. 5-6 in Farmington, New Mexico.
Next year we plan on having more regional events in additional states (coming to the people, instead of the people having to come to us) and a Series (like CalROCS) in Texas (well, it's big enough:D )

Hey Todd - I work from home fulltime, will be doing so in TN. Kelly and I will be in TN the first week of December. We'll be tryring to figure out which town we think we want to buy in and does some house hunting. Maryville and Faragutt seem to be the leading candidates at this point. Schools are driving most of the decision. We'll probably go back up again to look at houses early '03. I'll ping you via PM as we get closer. New construction is something that wre considering. I take it you are going to compete in ERoCC in '03?
As far as the tentative EROCC schedule looks, they only date I saw that is a problem for me is the June event, wedding :(. I hope the scoring doesn't change too much, so missing that event doesn't sink my chances of being in the running in Legends. :D Assuming my sorry ass starts finishing the whole event.
Jim
badassjeepguy 11-11-2002, 09:30 PM i think new contruction is the way to go.... can do it sheaper if you are the contractor........ with that, if you new some layouts of plans.... pm me, i can help with that....... finishing yeahhh thats the first thing any of us have to do :D
Toddy 11-13-2002, 03:04 PM Yes I hope to have my pile of parts put together by then. I dont know if it will be much of a comp rig but I will give it a try and see how it goes.
Yea let me know when you head this way. I think all the schools around here are pretty much the same if it is not a privite school. Which is something you might consider. Just hollar when you come this way and we can go from there.
ROCKTOY74 11-13-2002, 04:21 PM hey rkcrawl, i too live in k-town. let me know if you have any questions about the area. BTW new constuction is the way to go especially if your in the business. but beware houses and property in farragut are  just a suggestion but, you should check into karns/powell area, louisville/blount county area and maybe rocky hill/northshore/blue grass areas. the last three are a little more money but are worth it, and all these areas have good schools. anyway to change the subject i enjoyed every eeroc event last season, and am looking forward to next season as i will be spotting for my brother's tube chassied, mogified, coil-overed thingofmabob (so todd a little friendly competition sounds great :flipoff2: ) so get your fawkin' shit ready!:D
worley
rkcrawl 11-13-2002, 04:39 PM Thanks guys. Rocktoy74, I assume you mean Farragut is just expensive, correct? There are considerable differences between say Maryville schools and Blount county schools. (Maryville is one of the top in the state, at least by the state testing results.) I'll look into the areas you suggested. Cost really isn't the issue for us (well, to a point anyway).
I don't think we'll have time to completely start from scratch unless we rent and with 2 kids, 2 dogs and enough stuff to fill a 3k+ sqrft, I don't really want to move it all twice... So we are kind of thinking SPEC home that fits our timeline or resale of a newer home. I'm not in the construction biz.. I am a software engineer.
I'd prefer to live in the country a little on a decent size lot, but it seems hard to find that and the schools we are after. We'll be up there 1st week of December tromping around a bit.
I know, I know, where's the tech? Where was it at all in this thread? :D Oh here: My rig will be ready for the april ERoCC event. :flipoff2:
Edited out the wrong dates

Where'd you get those updated dates? They look like 2002 dates. I haven't seen anything updated on the erocc site or the forums past the tentative schedule. No chit on the garage, I already have a 3 car garage and its not enough... I really want to have someplace I can put up a detached for the rig/trailer/tools... etc. and leave the dam house garage alone.
Oops, those are 2002 dates. *shaking head* It's been a long week for me here in Houston, TX. I guess the 12-14 hour days are fawking with my mind. I'll edited the last post.
