I need a picture of a Ford Dana 44 axle, heavy duty with closed knuckles. Years for this heavy duty are early 70’s to 1975. Post or e-mail would work great, the more the better. Thanks.

I only know one way to make a Dana 44 heavy duty, and thats with Warn shafts and CTM u-joints, not closed knuckle:rolleyes: :flipoff2:

I'm not talking strength here, I need a pic of the axle, knuckle and BOM.

Mr N
Just seen this post, I have a D44 HD at home, if nobody has posted a pic today I will try to take a pic in the am. and post.

does it matter that I have torched off the mounts? Passenger side is in pieces - I am going to Cheby outers to get discs, but driver's side is still complete.

I thought mine was later than 75 but I cannot be 100%.

The u-joints are definitely bigger than 297's.
