You should be fine just get a water neck on the engine that has a bleader screw so you can get the air out of your system.

i put a 350 in my sami and i do have the radiator in the back, i did not run an electric water pump and it seems to keep it really cool, that is the build up thread i posted, i made sure to keep the radiator cap above the engine.

Ok thanks! What did u use to run ur water to the back? Exhaust pipe? And did u use a bleeder valve?

And Im also goin to use chevy 6 lug axles under mine! I'm not sure how they will hold up?! I have my rear welded! But I'd like to put a locker in front? Any advice on a cheap one or welded good enough?

i have both of mine welded but u have to have a full hydro steering to be able to turn them, and id suggest to run upgraded axles in the front, the tubing is aluminized exaust tubing 1.5" so that it wont rust. i did not use a bleeder valve cause i have the radiator cap above the engine, all the air will go to the highest spot.

Ok I'll try that!

How bout radiator and tranny cooler?
I've got a electric fan and shroud from a ford, but is a stock chevy radiator, and tranny cooler combo enough or do I need to run something aftermarket?

I used the smallest radiator I could get from summit. about 19x23 I think. also I used the 3000 cfm electric fan with no shroud needed. they sell stainless steel radiator tubing in various colors, too.
the radiator is good for cooling at least 400hp. so there shouldn't be any problems with cooling. also I got a thermostat housing that swivels to the direction you want before you tighten it down. a big help.

ive got an aftermarket radiator cooler just on the other side of the fan, its just one of those ones that use the zip tie things to mount it to the radiator, it works great for me, just remember dont use just any hose for your radiator lines, there is a special one that will not break down and get caught up in your tranny. all i used was a stock chevy radiator, ill post some more detailed pics of how i mounted it to the bars when i get home this evening. i did not have the built in tranny cooler in my radiator but i dont see how that would hurt anything, i used a summit one cause mine didnt have one

heres the pic of how i mounted my radiator to the bar, i used a piece of 1/4 plate steel and used my 1.5" hole saw to get a good mount to the bar and then used a set of stock radiator hold downs out of a chevy pickup. if you got any more questions just ask and ill try to help ya out.

i used a 3" lift and made the blocks myself, used about a 3" round tube and welded a plate on one end so that u could mount the body to it. if u look at my build pics u can see the round lift blocks

weld a bolt head down to the plates u have on there now and make more plates like u have on there now, drill some holes in the center of the new plates and use that as your retainer.

that looks like it will work but may be a little noisy, im also worried about the spring moving sideways and getting caught on the flat that u use for the retainer.

This isn't what I would consider a "V-8 in a Samurai"...

More like a "Samurai on top of V-8"...type thingy whatchamacallit...
