The Mile marker E8000 has been out a bit and im looking for a decent affordable winch, Im a weekend warrior not a guru so I was wondering if any one has anythihng good or bad to say about the E 8000. I can get it to my door for under 400, I think thats hard to beat for a winch, I know summit sells them for 500.
Let me know

How can you get them for under $400 to your door. I am thinking about getting one myself. I hear they out proformed the Warn xd8000i in many areas. They have more hp also. Let me know where you are getting it for under $400 please. Thank you.

It's not made by Milemarker or even designed by Milemarker. It's a cheaply made Chinese-built Ramsey knockoff with a Milemarker sticker on it. No rumor, it's made in China. Milemarker is just trying to pick up a few extra marketshare points from those who don't want a hydraulic winch. Would I trust it to get my a$$ out of difficult situations more than a few times? I don't think so. I will buy cheap seatcovers, but I'll never buy cheap engine or drivetrain parts, cheap tires, or a cheap winch. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Jerry,
Have you seen any write up from magazines or maybe any comparisons done? No nothing about this winch and dont know where they are made but I did read some good things about them. But you seem to know what your talking about and I definately dont want to buy junk. I am just looking to save some big benji's between what I want and what I can afford. But if we are talking about something that is going to fail then I will wait until I do have the benji's. I will research more.
Thanks..

Hey Jerry, you got proof of these accusations? Or are you just going by what you hear over the net?

I called MM, their rep told me the E8000 is "Made in Taiwan".
Since I got MM's phone number off the Web, does that count as 'just something learned off the Net'? :flipoff2:
46Willys,
The Search function is a beautiful thing.
btw,
Find a 10% discount code for carparts.com on Warn M8000, then have your local 4WPW match it; you'll have a bulletproof winch for under $570 that will last you a lifetime.

I got the winch from steve's tractor supply in Muskogee, OKlahoma. You may also be able to find him on e-bay.
shipped to my door for 399$
I have used it twice in the last week and it seems to be quick enough and have plenty of pull.
Yes the warn may last a lifetime but the E8000 comes with a lifetime warranty so I figure it will last me my lifetime anyway.
I do use the search about everyday, I have been a member for a while now and do not have that many post becasue I use the search key, I searched and did not find what I wanted, maybe I just overlooked it, that happens sometimes.
When selecting your winch take deep into consideration your rig. Mine does not have heavy axles or heavy tires, my Small Block sm 465 and rockwell case are pretty heavy but everything else is really light weight, I have not weighed it loaded down but I feel its under 3 grand or close to it, so I feel very confident and satisfied with my purchase,
Its all just my opinion though.

I have one as well. Works fine so far and beats not having one at all.
