Hi from downunder guys :D

This is a buildup for one of my customers, thought I'd share one with you guys after reading about so many of yours.

Seems I planted a seed that has started to grow.
it'll probably take a few months as it'll be a budget build.

I'll let the pics tell the story

Parts are starting to arrive Starting with a SWB Zook cab

Add a rusted out Bundera

Initally it'll have the 22R motor in it. G52 box should survive for a bit but I'll probably change it to a W series at a later stage.
plans are still a bit loose atm, we ran out of Bundy Rum before we figured it out, I do have a small blower that we could use

The plan is for a registered trail rig, which in Australia means it has to have all the work engineer certified. Going to use the Bundera chassis, and most of it's running gear, rear radius arms will be swapped out for a 5 link, front ones will stay or maybe swapped to 80 series Lancruiser arms

Brakes will be upgraded to late hilux (Tundra) ones, power steering will stay as it is just with the links upgraded to chromo ones, Rear diff will get a hub upgrade and an auto locker, front will get an air locker, cromo's and hub gear/stud upgrades.

Body will be zook, extra cab hard top. Front sheet metal will remain but may be sectioined and stretched a bit. rear tube exo style tray most likely with a rear mount radiator. :D

Trying to talk Mick into a V8, engineer should be fine with it given the GVM and towing capacity of the chassis (2100KG/3400KG)

But...........

I don't like any of the LS conversion kits available for the toyota boxes.
and an TH700/460LE auto will put the transfer to far back, also I havn't finished the prototype 5 speed conversion I'm working on yet.
Feel free to let me know about your LS/Yota conversions,as I'd love to find another alternative.
I do have an LS3 on a stand that has no intended home as yet. :D

The lexus V8 would be a good option but I don't have one sitting around for mockup nor do I have an adapter for it. :(

Lol, I could say the same, only V8 ones we got were full size wagons with IFS. Pickups only got V6's

Much the same with other brands.

2 door sports car...gotta be a rice burner to get one here :(

I thought you guys had lots of muscle cars?

Cool build, I actually like the Toyota body too.

I was thinking the same too. I don't even see any of the rust unless it is all in the floorboards..

Cancer had already started in the rear Quarters & B pillars, then the PO parked it under some wattle trees for two years, the sap from them is quite corrosive, a lot of the floor structure is rotten :(
Bout the only usable part is the firewall & Dash assembly. unfortunately down here we have to have panels on our trucks with the tyres completely covered by fenders and guards
