It's been months since I pulled the calipers off my kingpin & now I'm re-assembling everything & I don't remember where this thing goes...

Ford Knuckles that have I shaped piece that slides between the bracket & the caliper mount which holds the calipers in place.... Spring goes on top to help.. But where does this thing go?

I wanna say that goes in between the caliper and the mount. It goes with the part you already have in there that gets held in with the bolt.

That kinda helps, but trying it, it doesn't quite look right to me (it's kinda longer)....

That is correct - is puts preload pressure on the caliper so it wants to stay in the mount. It's longer so you can stack it on top of the h-block and tap it in - securing the caliper.

Ok cool.

Does it go on the bracket side of the "I" or the caliper side?

I'm guessing bracket side, L lip toward the caliper (over the I). (2nd pic above).

Your thumb is oddly disproportionate to your hand.

The parts store guys I have talked to always call them "rattle clips" I believe, but yes you have it in right. Not that rattle clips is the right word by any means, but it seems to be a common term.

Your thumb is oddly disproportionate to your hand.

I was a Soccer Goalie in my youth (lots of broken thumbs).
(My middle finger is worse :flipoff2:)

When you break a finger it breaks like a tree falls in the woods. I've never seen a tree get driven straight into the ground.

Just sayin....

Ok, I should have added: Sprained, Jammed, & Dislocated.

Seems every week I had different fingers taped together.

Thumbs, not so much.
