My NOX readings put me in the gross polluter category. What I did the last two times was put my trailer tires on it - reduces the load and the NOX readings barely pass. I think I found out what the problem was, though. The 4.0 doesn't have EGR (which lowers combustion chamber temps and therefor NOX). I've heard you have to run a 3 stage cat on engines without EGR, and I'm sure Magic Muffler just threw on a standard 2 stage. So next year when it's due I'll try that. | |
