That looks like Moab rim. One wrong roll on that trail can and does lead to death.

BD, I don't know who takes these pics of you, but they get some sweet shots. I don't think it's too crazy, looks like you were having a good time. That's another one for the desktop.

That looks like the short section in the Z turn on the Moab rim trail. I don't understand why you'd be lifting tires there, especially BOTH front tires. There's just no reason for it. You'd have to hit that little bump REALLY hard.

All I need to ask is why?

This is why I said your crazy, a couple of years ago I witnessed a roll in the Z turn, that came close to the lip of the 600-800 ft drop.

Yep, it's Moab Rim Trail, middle of the Z turn just after the sharp right and the little wall and before the steps and the sharp left.

This picture was taken in May and is the maiden voyage after getting it out of the shop.

The coils were set very soft, way too soft and in this picture I'm actually stopped. I stopped here waiting for the person in front of me to finish the top of the Z turn.

When I started off, 215ft lbs X 370:1 torgued the body to the right and when it could roll right no more the front end came off the ground. I'm actually just sitting there slipping the clutch a little and holding the "pose" for the picture takers.

I was fine with this untill I looked over at everyone taking pictures and they all had their mouths agape and I could see the whites of everyones eyeballs. That's when I started to get nervous. A friend came over and leaned on the front bumper to weight the corner and I drove right out after that.

The whole trail was like that, getting used to the new rig and pulling wheelies on almost every off camber slight up hill if the camber was to the right.

I have to admit I scared the shit out of myself on a couple places and had to have my seat surgecially removed from my ass by the end of the trail.

I have since played with the coils quite a bit and have dialed in alot of preload which seems to have controlled the body/torgue roll immensly.

Why not build a sway bar similar to a Currie Antirock? I used to run my TJ without a sway bar in the front and it was Scarry like that. Then I picked up a Antirock cheap and it made the Jeep a lot more fun to drive. Your bung hole will thank you.

i think i was in there for that shot. i remember being pretty damn scared when we finally pulled off moab rim that day. it felt like it was going over half the day. from the pics, it looks like it almost was.

Hehe, Rusty Nail has some "interesting" parts too. Especially right after "No Left Turn" as you go across the ledge to the open play area. :D Leaning off camber to the driver's side, looking out the driver's door at a shear drop of a few hundred feet. My seat still has a ridge down the middle…
