I need a SM420 adapter FAST...Like within 2 weeks fast...My engine/tranny/t-case is sitting on the floor at Mark Whatley's shop, and it would be waaaaay cheaper/easier if I could get a 420 bolted up while it's all already out.

So....Does anyone have an adapter they're willing to part with, or are they being made again??
Or should I go with an Extreme Bends plate? Any notable differences?

Get an Extremebends, it is a FINE adapter and it clocks the case so you don't have to grind the tranny for yoke clearance.

One of the guys in my club got a different adapted and he busted the side of his SM420 due to the grinding for clearance and twisting of the driveline.

Ok, cool, I guess I'll do that, then. Now I'm gonna be joining the lower gears club, woohoo! :D

Wardens sell a SM420 plate also, I think it is around $350.:skull:

Thanks MD11Fr8Dog, I actually already spotted that one ;)

Grr...I don't really want to spend $300 US, though...

Eric, how much would you want for yours?

Holy freaking cow.

Just checked my AOL e-mail, and there was a message waiting there from Stephen at Extreme Bends...Whoever mentioned this thread to him, or whether he reads it, wow. It's kinda cool having a company approach you with the right product, the right time, and a good price! :D

I think I'm gonna go that route, so now the hard part (finding an adapter) seems to be taken care of, now I just need to drop the 420 from the '66 Chebby it's currently residing in!

Edit: P.S. Thanks everyone!!
