I have stashed trailers in the area of the Fawnskin fire station before. I usually check with the firemen first to make sure I am leaving it somewhere that won't be in their way.

Since your rig appears to be street legal there are also some big parking lots across the lake in the city (supermarket, K-Mart) just make sure you can lock it up good.

Risky for sure. The firemen used to be pretty good about pointing out an area that they're ok with as long as you tell them how long you're going to be there. They appreciated people who asked rather than others who just left stuff in their way.

You have to be street legal all the way to John Bull. They give tickets for that all the time.

But I always leave mine at the fire station in Fawnskin

Edit: Holy Moly! Tie down perfection. I use one over the front axle and one over the back axle.

I let people stage from my from my properties. I have 2.5 acers on high road on the border of the San Bernadino National Forest and Lucerne Valley, and 5 acers on Camprock accross the street from Couger Buttes. As long as your not an asshole all are welcom with a couple days notice.

That's very considerate, but not really that convenient for people coming from OC making day trips in Big Bear.

I haven't been up there for a while and a few of us are green stickered now. How bad are they fawking with the vehicles? I have no fenders, wheels stick out and just a single tail light in the rear. If I smog:lmao: my junk, I will have a plate and a sticker but it is nowhere near street legal...

If you can't drive you're junk to the trails in big bear you shouldn't be wheelin big bear. No to be a jackass but big bear isn't that hardcore and if you break its because you're a retard.

Do ruin it for everyone else trying to sneak your buggies around.

I see you acknowledged my post, but you did not address or even attempt answer my question. So my question still stands. :flipoff2:

if it looks street legal you might get by. Your rig would not make it through the streets unless no cops saw you. They will go after you with no fenders.

I got stopped last year coming from the rock garden back to Running springs. The CHP told me they are clamping down on non legal vehicals. He told me that my tires need mud flaps because they stick out past the fenders. He didn't notice my non-street legal bead locks. He did only give me a warning and said they will be starting o issue tickets in the near future.

I know guys that have stored their tow rig and trailer at the discovery center with no problems.
