I just finished installing a pane kit on my 22-re, useing a impco 225 mixer, model E converter and vff30 lockoff. Thing started right up and idled real strong at 1200...i set the idle speed off the adjustment on the RE intake to 700 and tried to play with the "idle" screw on the mixer but it didnt seem to change anything.
Just wonding what that idle screw is supposed to do and the best way to get the most outta pane. It works great now but not sure if it could be better ya know.:smokin:

the idle screw is fuel mix at idle thats it , to set it up to run 100% you need a o2 snifer otherwise you can get it in the ballpark

Ok so how about the adjustment under the vapour line? The mixer came off a 318 so I think its set a bit rich.

you should have only one adjustment screw on the 225 carb body, if it wont lean out enough you need to add a ring spacer on it if thats the carb you have, i like the 425 carb it has a idle screw and a load screw real easy to adjust no shims like all the other carbs, go to impco and look up master catalog it will list all impco carbs and their parts

why propane parts are propane parts if they work on a street car they work for a wheeler that gets driven a few times a month

why propane parts are propane parts
Cary has excellent customer support, and also has dealt with probably every problem that a propane system can have. That's why I bought form Cary:smokin:

yota tota, thanks for the P.M. asking how to hook up the kit. You know, the one you say you got from me. You're welcome.
"Hey Carry, got a couple question re guarding the set up of one of your pane kits on my 91 22-re.
Can I leave the fuel rail/injectors bolted on but cap off the fuel lines? And un-plug the injectos?
Also I know most of the other vacuum lines need to be capped except the PVC and one for the 22-r dizzy right?
Also the steel vac lines on the side of the valve cover can they stay?
I'd just like to be able to re-hook up my gas system if I need to down the road if I decide pane isn't goin to work that well for me.
I quick run down of what's needed or needs to be capped off to use myEFI intake would nice. "
My only beef with this is you saying it's my kit. If you're going to piece something together yourself, don't tell me it's mine to get tech support.

On a good note the gotpropane kit on my 22re runs great now that i have a new motor. Sips pane too. I used to get a day on 10gallons but now i can get a weekend and so much power now that i have a motor tuned built just for pane
