Look here, I did it on my Hybrid Ford 6/9"
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=601558&a=9410876&f=0

Turned down hub body, redrilled, fitted 1/2 ton rotor (to match 5 lug), new studs, Fabbed caliper brackets for 1/2 ton calipers.

Or spend big $$ with Dynatrac.

Leave the 8 lug and get new wheels. Much cheaper .

I assume we are talking a front axle?

If so, Im working on the same thing. If I can find a fricken spindle nut socket I can finish this thing and get a detailed writeup out there.

I couldn't find a socket for my spindle nut either, I just used a screw driver and 2lb hammer. Those nuts are only supposed to be on at like 5-10 lbs of torque...

I have all my D30 outers, could I use this rotor on a D60, or is the spindle bigger?

why does everyone want these to be 5 lug pattern.. man. thats just to much custom sh!t on a off road vehicle.. leave them 8 lug.. get new rims.. and be done with it.. then put the same size tire on your toe rig.. for more spares.. <IMG SRC="smilies/glasses.gif" border="0">
sorry.. im just from the point of view of K.I.S.S.
have fun with it.. and i would like to see your write up on it.. get some insights..

I have a brand new set of 15x10 alloy wheels in 5x5.5" pattern on my truck =\
and after the price of the D60, i can't afford wheels. Maybe i'll use some junker 15x8 stock chebby wheels for a couple weeks...

I agree for the most part. Unfortunately I have a semifloating rear 60 that is 35 spline and 5on 5.5 lug pattern. No way to convert it to 8 lug that I know of.

If you can, stay 8lug!
