ok, just checked out the pics. Who did the welding on that thing? I can weld prettier than that with my eyes closed. Also, you NEED to move that upper heim on the rear axle to the sideways position. With it turned like that it could break. It should sit horizontally, not vertically. Also, throw away those crappy heims, and PM PIG on the board for some good quality stuff. You rig is gonna be heavier now, you need to use good components.

Later Marc!

Why do you need to run the heims horizontally? I'm not following? The Heims are 1 1/4 Female aircraft grade heims, Static load (technical term) a lot. AZ will be in the plans, however can you break other parts than leaf springs in AZ? If not then I'm safe:flipoff2:

I didn't look at the pictures but I am guessing you have a wishbone or A arm top link with the heim mounted verticle. This is the link that controls the side to side movement of your axle, and if the axle is trying to move to one side it could pop the ball out of the heim. By mounting the heim the other way it won't try to pop apart. The cheasy two piece rod ends are actually stronger when loaded in that direction than the better 3 piece ones.

I don't hink your stuff is going to fall apart the way it is, but that is why it is better to mount the rod end the other way.

Thanks, I would never have thought about the Heim coming apart like that, but I guess it can happen.
