So they spelled Jake's name wrong, it's Attaway, and he's from Farmington, not AZ, and I'm from Arkansas- I just don't talk like Shupee!
Thanks Jaffer!

Jaffer I consider you pretty lucky to live in a town that actually covers rock crawling events in the newspaper.
So how much money does Farmington figure that rock crawling evets infuse into the local economy?

I don't know any figures but the town is begining to realize the economic impact of the rock crawling 'industry' due to the excellent coverage the Daily Times and their sports editor, Darren Marcy give these events.
We just finished hosting our first year of the HUGE National High School Rodeo Championships and we have hosted the Connie Mack Baseball World Series for near two decades.
We have a reputation of being excellent and appreciative hosts when major (mostly sports) events make their home here as everyone realizes the benifits to the community, not to mention giving everyone exciting and fun stuff to see and do.
This last Saturday's record smashing 14,000 spectator gate was enough to make any promoter, economic analist, city councilman or county commissioner to stand up and pay attention.
At the beginning of the year, word was that RCAA was going to pass over Farmington in their series with probable reasoning that the community was getting 'rockcrawlered out' and feared of low attendance. Boy, do they have another think coming!
Would you just look at that crowd! ...

Thats awesome, Keep up the attendance. Recognition is the key. Everybody keep spreading the word that this sport is here to stay and we are all lovin' it.

Awsome crowd. I'd been there if I'd finished my dissertation on time and wasn't still working on it 24-7 (that is when I'm not srewing off on PBB ;)).
Glad the city appreciates it and hope there are no incidents that would change thier attitude. Crawlers please be on your best behavior DON'T RUIN A GOOD THING>
