I'm looking for some pre-fabbed gussets to strengthen my cage some more. I want something like this

http://www.aa-mfg.com/catalog/partslists/AA-021-A.jpg

However, I need them larger. AA doesn't have them in sizes larger than about 2" or so. I was hoping for around 4" in length Anybody know of some suppliers?

apparently you already checked AA, but there is a Gusset that for some reason doesn't appear on their Gusset page. It;s AA-020 and it's 3 inches long with no hole in the middle.

not exactly what you want, but closer.... good luck

I know the AA stuff is cheap, but couldn't you just take a chop saw or sawzall and cut your own if you need custom sizes?

Thanks Brett, I'll look into that one. Anybody have any others?

zachv - Just a couple of gussets is no big deal to make. However, when I want 25 of them, it takes a while. That and the fact that the AA gussets are nicely rounded to keep from cutting myself. :flipoff2:

I've heard that AutoFab or FabTech in Santee CA also sells them.

I bought some from Jegs when I ordered my gauges. They're in the neighborhood of $.50 each. Well worth my time to buy them at that.

This is what I bought:

They also have these:

You can see them in the box on the left.

stockcarproducts.com has 100 without holes for 20 bucks. Its a little more if you want holes. They also have larger/smaller quantities.
IrvanSmith.com has 100 without holes for $12
also aa.mfg.com specializes in all kinds of brackets for the racing profession.
CMWraceparts.com has them
Just about any place that sells fabrication/chassis parts or roll bar kits to the hardcore oval track community has them. Sneak a peek at one of the oval track racing magazines and you can find other places that carry them.

If you really can't find any I can bang out that many on the pirana - even punch holes in the middles... You would have to grind them as the sheared edge is sharp like you mentioned - (nothin like a quality head wound from a quality cage  ) Let me know...
