Replaced the Coil, Points, plugs and condenser. Nice big fat blue spark. The carbs on the other hand are a mess. So the bike is getting converted to a single carb.

Im going to be making a new harness for this bike. So I made this diagram to do it. As you can see the bike is a bare minimum setup.

No turning back now.

I havent started putting the new tubes in yet but I did start by lining up the rear axle plates. I tacked a piece of 1/4 to the inside of the stock swingarm so that my new axle plates keep the same inner distance.

Welded some gussets on the lower bars and notched my crossbars.

I rolled it outside for some mock up picks of the tank and seat. The Tank is a late 60's or 70's Hodaka Tank.

They are DOT approved for road travel upto 93mph. Popular with the dual sport crowd. But since my bike had a 90mph top speed in 76 when it was new I think Ill be ok. :D

I dropped my wheels and tires off today to get mounted. Local shop will do both for $15 each so it saves me the trouble.

A company I used to work for in VT, Lebanon Screw Products (lsp-vt.com) makes some nice stuff for circle track guys so I called them up and had them send me a billet anodized killswitch they make. Not that I hope to test it but they havent had a single switch fail yet even after a crash.

Build has been slow as I have been doing alot of yard related work as we are removing our inground pool and building a giant patio, party area.

My new sprockets are on the left. Custom Aluminum rear, steel front sprockets made for a 520 chain. The stock 530 chain is way over kill for my 34hp motor so I swapped to the lighter 520 chain.

My rear fender also showed up but I havent grabbed any pictures of it yet.
