I just got my project fj40 with a rebuilt 2F and TBI conversion to fire up and I gotta tell you I have some serious wood right now:D My problem is this, the voltage spike filter that went between the - coil term and the ECM I originally made was what was keeping it from running. I bypassed the voltage spike filter and it fired right up no problem. Does anyone know how to make one of these?

Call Dr. Phil, he'll solve all your problems :flipoff2:
Congrats! Now why do you need this spiked flipoff thing anyway? A tach signal filter? So you can use your stock ignition? Maybe we need to hook up the winadl box and see what IT thinks is going on?
BTW, it will run with the O2 and coolant sensors disconnected, just never get to closed loop.
You gonna sleep on your back tonight?

Are you running the stock Toy ignition or the GM? Not really sure what this homemade spike thingy is you're talking about.
And whether you buy a commercial one or use the winaldl job, get a scanner of some kind. I use the Auto X-ray or something like that, $150 at Checker (Kragen) for the GM-only OBD 1 style (upgradeable to other makes and OBD-2 also). Was the cheapest stand alone type I could find, and fits easily in the console (inside an old sock to protect it). Makes easy work of troubleshooting.
