got hp dana 44 from 79 bronco(without tie rod,drag link,or track bar)putting it under a 69 bronco.
I need to find out
should i just find the stock stuff, can i convert to tie rod over easily with stock tie rod?
will other steering components fit, what years and make?
should i try to make a stock track bar work?
are adjustable track bars worth the $.
i'm guessing a stock drag link would need mods also.
any info is appreciated.
an article would be da bomb.

Need to have it narrowed if you want the stock look. I think alot of the steering parts will need to be adjusted also.

You could just build a custom steering system. It is not too hard, if you have a little extra time and a few tools.

go here (http://www.vintagebronco.com/newberry/pages/tech/tre/tre.html)

I have an '79 HP 44 in the front of my X, cut down to EB width. If you want long side inner to be EB, cut 5.85".

- pull the tube and cut
- send the shaft out to be cut - Moser, Dutchman, etc
- you can use stock steering from the HP 44, cut down or for tierod over...
- Chevy TRE's, with BC Bronco knuckle inserts (the taper is the same for the ends) and some DOM. I'm still using the stock track bar and drag link (though my drag link is adjustable.

Your EB pitman arm is different than the 79 Bronco as well.

Good luck.
