is there any camping close to trails in penrose and are all the trails open i heard they might be closed sometimes for weather? thanks

Not sure if you can camp right up there near the trails.
THere is camping in the area..............it is so easy to get to those trails.

Yes they do close them when it has been wet. THey have a locked gate.

im pretty sure you can camp right there along the trails but i cant remember. been a while since i have been down there. you can call blm in that area and see if they are open, they should be as long as there hasnt been any bad weather recently. i would check on colorado4x4 to see if anyone on there knows the number and current conditions.

There are lots of spots to camp in the area. You can camp out right at the exit if you want to.
