Take a look here - he broke both axles and took over two hours to limp out of the con.

Are D30 axle shafts also available as freebies?!?!? If so, then send all ya got to Flexysammy´s house. When he´s accumulated a shipping container full, he´s agreed to send ´em all down to me here.....:D

That´s what we agreed, right Flexy?!?!?:flipoff2:

But seriously, ARE D30 open-knuckle shafts to be had for cheap in the States?!?!?

Someone should market a set of u-bolt-attached caster wheels that are about 2" taller than the brake drum from the bottom of the axle tube, and they should be required on any c-clip axle equipped vehicle.

I like your approach better than the "lets set it on a big'ol log and skid it all the way out of the trail" approach.

The earlier 260 jointed shafts are commonly passed over. Everyone wants the 297 shafts on ABS or 95+ 30's.

How common are the front 44's in Brazil?...see many?

This may come as a shock, but ALL Jeep CJ5 vehicles made in Brasil were manufactured with military spec D44 front axles. That goes from around 1956 until 1982ish...

They´re all over the place and cheap.........
