So I tore my diffs down completely to cut and flip them for the rear engine in my toyota. I pulled the races out of the tubes along with the shims and had the pinions turned down for drive shafts. Now its reassemble time and I did not keep track of the shims in each side. I ordered new shim kits, bearings and seals from Scott at Expedition Imports. Now I am starting from scratch and have no reference to go from. I have no preload etc..
Does anyone have any wisdom in setting these up. I understand it could take anywhere from 4 hours to 24 hours per diff. And I would like to stay away from the 24 hr stuff if i could.
