blkjeep,
Im down in Plaquemine, La. So if you ever need a hand for a weekend wrench-a-thon let me know would like to help out and learn more. Not much of a top mechanic, but I do know how to turn wrenchs. By the way that will be one hell of a rig once its done.
One question, what type of tranfer is going in?

TrevorXJ,
Thanks for the offer, I am going to tear into it shortly. Since I have 2 Dana 300's I will use them until they break then an Atlas will be going in.
Later all, I will be posting pics on the web during the rebuild.

Those axles come from the junkyard, if so what was the donor truck? I'm about to start lookin for 60s & I shouldn't have any problems with all the fords & chevys running around down here. Ruston, man that's north La., I heard you people talk funny up there. <IMG SRC="smilies/rasta.gif" border="0"> You not worried bout the lockright in the D60?

I doubt I will have any trouble with the lockright, if so in goes a detroit... 1 ton chevy for the rear, military blazer for the front..
