BellyDragger has a nice setup. I believe it's a 1" heim mounted sideways, with high masalignment spacers that reduce to a 9/16" bolt. Maybe he can post some pics.

Here's an thoght, similer to the sidekick, rear upper "ball joint" that connect the upper link...
Couldn't you use a threaded insert for a large threaded ball joint (upgrade part used in circle track/dirt cars), Then just use a mount with a taperd hole mounted somewhere.... not sure which way would be better to point it all.... see speedway or other roundy round catalog....
or use a 3/4-1 ton tie rod end to a link like the 1" heim mentioned. Maybe a low(er) buck solution....
just a few thoughts.....

All coil land rovers use a ball joint 3 link in the rear. A arm to Ball joint link.
Picture attached of stocker a arm. NOT my rig.
Also check the Rover board, as some have made a 3 link that top mounts for the front on there own. There is a company that makes a 3 link out of the box, but it is a bottom mount.
