Saw a scout II steering conversion up close, looked cool, have to try that as I have the sinking feeling my stock Series II box is going to hold up about as well as my stock brakes.
My "new" series I. Something odd is that the VIN is higher than any other 1951 rover out there (or that supposed to exist). Going to make it look like the most derelict rover ever (basically just weld the bulkhead and frame and leave the rest with its patina), but its getting the ARB out of my SII and maybe a detriot if I find one and with some bias plys it will do what I need.
The "new" disco all I can say is WOW. Its like driving a dream. Did not realize how badly abused the other disco was. Going to put a winch and sliders on it but leave it "stock" with a mild lift in front to compensate for the winch. 5 speed is the only one I have seen that is not destroyed.
