I see that Marlin is making a toyota lowrange adapter to go on front of Ford Dana 20 for the old Bronco's.. whats the difference in the ford and jeep dana transfercases? are the bolt patters similar? I know the ford has a drivers output.... what other differences?

I thought the marlin tcase for the ford dana 20 has been along for a number of years now. Jeep 20 tcase is very different then the Ford dana 20. Different bolt patterns on both more differences then similarities between the two models.

I guess what Im asking is, is there a way to put my spicer 18 on the back of that crawler? are the inputs different? if so can I put a bronco 20 and a spicer 18 together to make it work?

I'm reasonably certain you can swap a Jeep 20 in place of the 'large hole' 18, so I'd have to say: No, you can't put the 18 in place of the Ford 20.

I know the bolt patterns are different between a jeep model 20 and a bronco model 20 but what about the inputs? Im wanting to bolt a spicer 18 behind a Marlin Crawler Bronco box. What will I have to do? If the the inputs are the same couldnt I just fill in and redrill the holes in the Crawler adapter plate? If the inputs are different can I switch the Bronco input into my spicer 18?

I was thinking of the same thing but came to the conclusion that the klune V would be the way to go in your situation, unless you go with the Ford dana 20. The Klune and the crawler are close in price and the from the research I have done the Klune is a bit stonger then the crawler.

U can buy a complete Bronco crawler (toy low range, adapter, Bronco model 20) for 1300 assembled, V's are what??? 1900 to 2500 depending on where you buy them. Klune doesnt make a V that bolts directly to a Spicer 18 or Dana 20. U have to adapt to a dana 300 bolt pattern for the V, then adapt back to the Dana 20 Spicer 18 bolt pattern.. that is not cheaper and very very long and you lose you low rear output on the 18, not to mention if you re using an 18 you have to change to a centered rear end.
