Here's something cool Fugly2 wanted me to post for him.

"In the mean time have a look at my 4 week project .Had 90% of the parts to start with .Totally built from scratch .Drove it for 6 months and then modified it into an 80" ,which took 4 days .Don't beleive me ? Sam (strange rover ) sold me the frame and 5 weeks later took it down to him for a giggle .Is mine finished yet ? Its a hybrid and they're never finished ."

Even as much as I love that truck, no it is not mine. Fugly will have to fill us all in on it's entire story.

I believe it's a S1 86 inch truck cab with some kind of modified S1 fenders and truck cab.

It's on a Rangie frame.

Dunno about the bed or the tank.

Personally I thought it was pretty :eek: when I saw it.

tomw ,the frame is a 1980 rangie with 16" cut off the rear and 6" off the front .Landrover body panels ,'57 109 hood ,'56 roof ,'55 doors and windshield frame ,'58 88" firewall thats met the sawall big time .The fuel tank came from a diesel truck and was just used until I made a rectangular one ,with a jerry can mounted each side .One water ,one diesel .The rest of the panels are home made .Strange rover weighed it at 3080lbs ,fully fueled ,spare tire etc .Isuzu diesel ,11a box ,O/D ,total cost Au$ 1600 with everything rebuilt .Time 4 weeks .Drove it for 6 months and because I already had all the 80" junk turned it into an 80" .Still regret cutting it down ,but thats life .Time to convert ,4 days (chop frame ,move engine/box,raise firewall ,chop doors etc) .Thanks for posting the pics Mike ,as it may encourage others to vandalise their junk .Keep in mind that this is my DD (only rig for the last 2 years ) so I didn't have time to do it *exactly* how I would have given more time .End result is FUN to drive .
