If it were me though, I'd weld the lower nuts in place and just use the top nuts as jam nuts :smokin:

They are. We used the table to cut the rails to hold the slats, its all put together!

Your table looks nice.. How thick are the slat supports that you are cutting. That is one really slow feed rate..

1/4". was literally our first cuts with the thing.

Ill have to take some pics. The cuts were so nice we didnt have to do anything to them, other than knock the slag off the backside.

Slow will typically give you a really good bevel and face quality, corner quality. But it does leave "slow speed dross" on the back of the cut, which is typically the big globs. It is easy to remove, which is one way to distinguish it from high speed dross that would typically require a grinder.

It would be interesting to know what amperage and the exact feedrate you were cutting at, looked to be about 20-30 ipm.
