just picked this up. 4400 squids. going to keep it as stock and unmodified as possible to make repair part locating simple on long trips.

94 cummins turbo diesel
4x4
5 speed
4inch turbo back exhaust
BHAF

not going to be a HUGE REDNECK smoke machine! tons of those around. mods will be minor. 150-200hp over stock at the most.

my only complaint is that its not an extended cab, but ill make due. gotta patch up a few problems, and rust, and paint it, then i clean the bed out and get a cap that is secure, build a sleeping platform, better tires and hit the road!

Under your sleeping platform, you may want to consider using some full length drawers. It makes it really handy to have some nice long drawers to get things out of the extra space. Plus the drawer ends up working like a nice table top once it is pulled out all you have to do is add a lid and you are set up.

Not to mention it keeps all of your gear out of sight when you are at the local market, or in the third world. Keep that honest person honest, you know what I mean?

Nice start!

I have to agree on the cab though.

I think I would go insane if I didnt have an extended cab.:homer:

great idea. i like it. starting next week on a few things. mainly catching up on maintenance and taking some preventative measures. all the local diesel guys are like...

Nah, I've owned both regular cab and extended cab 2nd Gens. (Diesels). It's really nice to have easy access to that back window, and sucks when you don't. This and the fact that extended cab/long beds have 2 piece drive-shafts.

You could pick up 150 hp via mods that constraint more on increasing fuel mileage.

This is very good btw. I hate the millions of rednecks that crank the fuel on these engines just make it smoke. Brings shame to the Cummins B series engine.

could someone link me to some drawer rollers so i can make some 7 or 8 foot long drawers that could hold a bit of weight?

truck, AND camper will get an overhaul! the camper needs to be suspension lifted, and a bit of remodeling/lightening. i installed a 1 3/4 inch drop bar on the truck and the difference between a near level camper and the hitch will be made up by lifting the camper! also will be considering covering the roof of the camper in solar cells, and even perhaps a portable wind turbine.

does anyone have any good references for portable wind turbines and solar cells?

the campers electrical and gas are all updated too! i just fixed a roof leak and will continue working on making it more road abuse resistant.

looking for cheap awning ideas too! and im considering installing aluminum hinged window guards (like on the front window) to protect against theft/vandalism.

Ebay? That's where I plan on doing my solar panels as of now. Although I plan on keeping a diesel gen handy.

Never thought of that. But now on my checklist.
