I mounted my F-150 rears with the long side towards the front so I could gain some wheel base...Moved the rear shackle hanger back about 7 inches and moved the hanger foreward a bit.
I also did the same thing up front and have about 104-105 inches of wheelbase.

full width, jc whitney 5 leaf waggy springs. Not a good side shot. Sorry, no digital camera yet.

wb ended up being 99 inches. That is with the springs in the stock mounts etc etc. and 5 inch shackles. You need the longer shackles.

The front springs are stock waggys that I yanked out of a junk yard. The rears are 1.5" RE springs. It's also got a 3" body lift (save your comments,....I needed it to fully clear 35's when I was spring under. Sits pretty level now, but the two rear most body mounts are punched through the tub, so once I fix those, the rear will sit a bit high, which is what I want cause it should level out when the jeep is loaded (i carry a lot of tools, spares, dogs, and beer).

I just half-assed measured before and after and got about 3" more, but I also have the MORE spring perches that have three holes to use, and I used the rearmost, which gave me another 1/2" or so.
