I am going to put a 95 tbi 305 in an 88 tbi 4.3 s10 blazer. has any one done this? what am I looking at as far as wiring and stuff? any help would be sweet. Thanx.

There are tons of people that have done the swap. People just as crazy as we are. If you have any real technical questions, post them over at that S10 site and someone will know something. Oxblood 10-23-2002, 10:51 PM I think it was Fourwheeler that did an article on a 350 swap a couple of years back. I know they ended replacing the transmission, transfer case, and rear axle. however I think this might have been a fairly built 350, but I can't remember. anyhow I'll have the rear axle out of my ZR2 for sale in a couple of months. It's got 3.73 gears, disc brakes (99') model, and a gov-loc, but that can be eliminated. you can have it for $100 when I take it out. Thanx. If you are wanting to swap in a v8 that is already set up for TBI then just unplug your current wiring harness, but do not remove it. Put the new motor in and make sure you have all the correct sensors for a standard 1988-1991 TBI motor. Plug in your factory harness to the required sensors. Get a v8 EPROM chip from the local auto parts store ($65) for a 1988-1991 TBI 305. Pull the 4.3L chip out of your computer and plug in the new chip (unplug the computer before doing this, just in case). Make sure there is power (battery juice). Crank her up. sunshineoffroad 10-24-2002, 08:04 AM Not on the subject of wiring, but you are gonna need a different oil pan to clear the front differential. Or just use a BFH like I did.
