was a 242 swapped in or does the t-case shift gate lie to me? i didnt think 5spd XJ's came with the 242. or the 5spd swapped in?

Tranny and transfercase are new(or new as they can get) Truck was a 2wd at first then converted to a 5 speed with 4wd. Engine on the other case is still another story.

Thats one way to do a cage, I like it.

lovin the cage. ive got a 2 door also and it seems like they are better for a cage because your head will clear the b pillar better than a cage in a 4 door imo, i have yet to test that thought

how did you come up with the cage donor?

that cage came out of another race car. Donate to the poor man (me) I will try to get more pics of the work done, just got the shocks and should be getting the front end this week from Currie. King shocks 10" stroke and 16" rear fox bumps,so on and so on...
