I got to go wheelin this weekend , and I'm not sure if something broke or what yet... So I figured I would ask everyone here what they think this sound could be before I tear into it tomorrow. I have a dana 44 out of a 87, grand waggoneer. While wheelin , late that night I started hearing a popping sound coming from the front passenger side axle as near as i could tell. Now I have a lockright in the front to and i know the sound they make , and that wasnt it. Both wheels would still spin, and it would only make the sound when I was turning. Another thing , is when I unlocked the hubs , it would no longer make the sound... Soooo, could this be a broken hub ? or what do you all think ?
Thanks for any information you may have ..

Take a look at the side gears on the Lock-Rite. I had one crack in half and I'd turn it would pop instead of the normal ratcheting.

Try checking the u-joint in the axle on that side.

I say lock-right cuz that's exactly what mine is/was doing and I know my hubs are good and so are the joints.
