Well, she's not a virgin anymore. The combination of a little rain and a little Slickrock in Tellico (maybe a little driver error :D ) and over she went.

The video is kind of large, but it is worth the download. It was a lot more violent of a crash than the picture shows.

Fawkin West Coast guys don't know how easy they have it :flipoff2:

That rock is like ice when wet and muddy. Looks like you slid across it at about 30 mph  Definitely worth the download time :)

I remember when we were wheeling that a couple months ago and you told me something along the lines of "Once I get on that rock I try to hammer it across, 'cause if you sit there it slides you sideways and over". Kind of ironic how that is what happened. I'm assuming you're OK sice you're posting this, even though that hit looked like it was pretty damn hard  I guess we all finally know how much it takes to flip a rockwelled Samurai whos COG is below it's frame :D AWESOME VID

Cool video man. I was Stuck at Crawfords saturday with a broken motor mount or i would have seen you. My buddy saw you out on top of Helicopter or school bus i cant remember what he said.

The Zuki's with me were 0 for 2 on slickrock Friday, it was hilarous. There was a broken one behind up as well. I shattered my Motor mount up the hill at the last rock before the intersection at the top of slickrock. I was towing a broken zuki and he got hung i did about a 6' wheel stand. I thought i was going over backwards then the front end slammed down & all hell broke loose.

Great weekend, Durham & a couple of RCCA/EROCC buggies were at crawfords all weekend. I have tons of pics of them on Slickrock and the rocks at camp. Good times:D

it is really deceptive isn't it! it's always that one spot right there that gets people. once you get in that tiney little hole just kiss it good bye. I have seen more rolls in that same spot, doing the same thing, and ended up the same way, then any other place!!!

it's amazing how much speed you will pick up while sliding side ways!!!

It took me almost an hour to download it at work on a T1. More tax dollars at work by the way. That had to be one heck of a scare when it started sliding, looked just like it was on ice. I've seen that same manuver performed more than once when it rains up there like that. Glad to hear you're alright, that looked like quite a hit when it came over.

Hey EMBRO, Are you that clueless?
We are talking about MUDDY SLICKROCK at Tellico in the rainy season.

GET A CLUE before you make a dumb comment like that.
ALL VEHICLES will spin on top of slickrock.

Yes I said ALL! I dont care if you have snow studs in your tires with carbide tips. You are going to spin.

 Newbies:confused:

Glad your ok. I have seen that 3 times so far, at the same spot. Same kind of roll too.

LMAO

That's funny as hell, that wasn't a kid, that was my wife. :D

What's really funny is, right after that "OW" there was a lot quieter "fuck" and she rarely ever cusses, let alone says the "F" word.

If you let off the gas on that rock, for some reason, it pulls your front end around and then you have the chance of going down the hill sideways. I've seen that done before. I stayed in it hoping that it would catch some traction and go in a different direction than the one I was going. :)

Oh well, at least the damage wasn't too bad and no one got hurt.

I downloaded the video in under a min so I don't know what you guys are talking about. Nice roll, but the only way to roll on slickrock in a fullwidth rig is if you are dunk or smoking crack. Myself as well as several of my buddies (including a narrowtrack YJ) have been up it in the DARK in the POURING RAIN after giving it hell. They just knew once they started sliding sideways not to GAS IT. Nice job though, oh wait. Mabye Hayman's driving school is your best best for lowering your insurance. BTW, pirate4x4 sucks, I don't have a life so I just sit on this board waiting to flame someone because my penis is 3in long.

Other site rocks, its much faster, got it in 30 seconds on DSL.

Damn, that was a hell of a lick. Guy in our club with a nice Hybrid and mondo power rolled the opposite way at Dixie this year. My HS9500i kept me from rolling right where you started to get sideways. I blew the power steering pump at around 3500 rpm with 40's on a full size K5 and it decieded it wanted to go anywhere but where I wanted. Just got it stopped before going over. Got the winch hooked up and it slid and started over. Winch speed to the rescue, it caught me and pulled me back down. (whoee, talk about pucker factor)

So how much seat did they remove from your ass after that little spill? I am still shittin foam from mine!

a friend of mine rolled on the same line this past summer, but i missed it since we were late getting to the trail head that day. it started pouring just before he tried it and it was super slick. he had his sx's down to something like 4lbs and they still wouldn't grip for a shyat.

hey Bert !!!

my comment wasn't stupid, newbie, clueless, it was simply MY impression. how do you expect someone that never been to Tellico to know about it?
i never said i would go over it easily, i probably couldn't. but thats not the point, i was saying that spinnin mean less control. dont tell me its wrong, she spinned out of control and ended on its side. Now watch the video again and tell me im wrong, im sure she would say the same thing, YES it is probably impossible to dont spin on these rocks, i really cant say and wont comment on that.
dont take any opportunity to call people newbies only because they dont have hundred's of posts, that makes the board like all other, ie : full of hate and boring

It is impossible to tackle/complete this obstacle when it is raining unless you spin you tires furiously. Not probably impossible, but totally impossible.

rain on slick rock....... wheel speed is a must..... and if you make it 3/4 up and she starts walkin across the face stay in in and try to get out of a bad situation....... if you let off the throttle (once sliding across the face) you will most likely roll also...... you CAN NOT walk on this rock when it is wet.......... like ice! and all of us just keep polishing it up... :D glad you ok 350sammy
