Out of curiosity, why are all of these people posting with a 14" travel? Isn't one of the nice side affects of a coilover that you can get a shock travel longer than the usual 14" travel rancho shock? I mean, if I was paying over a grand (or two) for these things, I'd be for damn sure getting the 17" versions.

Is there a huge price difference here, or what?

I don't think people are getting the coil over shocks just for the travel. The advantages are the improved performance, damping adjustability, easy mounting of springs, and a big selection of coils, and did I say improved performance. Also, you usually have problems selecting springs for shocks longer than 14", most of the time the vehicles are so light that to get coils light enough coils to keep the coils tight at full droop, you end up with too soft of a suspension.
There isn't much of a price difference between the 14", 16" and 18" shocks.
