I am thinking of throwing in a Powertrax No Slip in the rear of my rig to get me by until I can aford a ARB. Does any body have any info on these lockers?
I got a lot of conflicting reports on the search engine, really don't trust non-cruiser guys opinions, so tell me what you all think!

I've had one in the rear axle of my FJ55 for a couple years. It's transparent on the road, it's a locker off-road. Simple, easy to install, relatively cheap and very quiet.

I'd do it again.

How does it do with large tires? I'm running 35" Trxus tires (real heavy with steel rims) how large are the tires on your FJ55?

2 years running, no complaints. It works great offroad and other than chirping a tire now and then on the pavement, you don't know its there. :D

Ditto.

FYI, paid $386 for mine. Best money I've spent in terms of making my 55 a more viable off road vehicle.

Happy customer.

I've been running 35x14.5 Super Swamper SSR tires on 15x10 steel wheels for the last two years. Recently had to ship one wheel/tire pair so I know they're about 110lbs combined.

I've had the locker out when I broke a pinion, and it looked fine. Reinstalled it in the new diff and everything's still fine.

I don't think tire size or weight is the biggest factor in locker strength. I'd guess vehicle weight or engine horsepower might be bigger factors, but I'm no mechanical engineer.

Hope you're not in a hurry. Richmond gear bought out powertrax about 6 weeks ago and moved everything to their headquarters, probably won't be shipping until next month. Hopefully they didn't bite off more than they can chew. Apparently powertrax was in bad shape, hadn't really shipped much in quite awhile, basically exhausted all of their credit lines. Maybe someone has one on the shelf, but I wouldn't count on it. Probably old news to everyone

I run the No Slip up front and a Lock Rite in the rear with 36" Swampers. The No Slip holds up well until you wedge a tire than it will skip a tooth. Dude, when that happens you will swear you broke something. They're the best bang for the buck. I plan on throwing one in the rear once I install the Toy Box and 38's.

Sorry, My computer kept going to that white "cannot find server" screen everytime I hit the submit button. I didn't think these problems happened with a cable modem. Shut up and go to bed so you can make it to work on time tomorrow:flipoff2:
