Can anyone tell me how to change the cut sequence of a part with internal cuts? Using the male toolpath doesn't always do all of the inside cuts first. I am still new in the learning curve so break it down for this simple minded individual. I am using TMcad Lite. I know you go to the layout tab and to the sequence tab that is there. But I don't understand my options or how to utilize them.
Thanks,

You probably have to select the part and "Break Path" before setting the sequence.
Before using the male toolpath you have to select "Make Path" in order to make the part one. Basically you just need to break the path, set your sequence (I prefer using the sequence by list function), then make path again and you should be good.

I highlight the whole item, "Break Path", go to Layout and select "Sequence", pick "Sequence by List" and shuffle stuff around like I want. As you click on the lines, they'll highlight in red in the drawing so you can see what you're selecting.. Biggest thing is to make sure the "outer perimeter" is last in the sequence.

They will only highlight red if you have "Highlight Selected Objects" checked, under the Options - Torchmate Setup - Selection Tool Settings.
If the Male toolpath isn't making sure the insides are cutting before the outside, then there is a problem with the part before toolpathing. Are you checking the Show Fill under the View menu each time before applying the toolpath? Does it show correctly?
You can sequence them by doing the Layer - Sequence option, but you'll need to select the very first object you want to cut before going to this option. Once there, there will be a Blue line that is snapped to the center of the object, and you can then click on the line of the next object, and next, and next, in the order you want to cut. Once all the objects are selected, you click off to the side in the empty grid and it will sequence them as you selected.
Thanks for all the replies. Got it workin like a champ.

This is great info. Thanks for putting it out there.
I feel like I need to start saving all of these setup and configuration threads and put it all together and create a CBT.

Just about everything covered in these threads is either available in the Torchmate CAD users guide, or the Setup and Start guide. Obviously everyone could make something more specific to them, so I would feel free to do so, but the information is out there :)

This is my problem. I work an 8-5 job and live about an hour away from work. By the time I get home and can get into my shop and need to make the call it is to late to do so.

I am glad that until we can justify having someone here 24/7 at least you can access this forum and our website for help after hours. Also, don't be afraid to shoot an email to support@torchmate.com when you hit a roadblock. You might not get a response until the next morning, but at least help will be on the way.

This is reason number 8437 that I bought your product Bill. I stumble around and work through stuff the hard way a lot I am sure but when I just can't get it the emails get answered, the threads here on PBB get answered and your customer support people just plain kick ass.
