Any of you guys around chi town? Me & a bunch of buddies have been looking for new local spot & are having a hard time finding any! Do u guys know of any?

Cliffs insane terrain I heard it's fun if you like mud but I haven't Ben there yet or the badlands in Attica Indiana or bundy hill in mich

Easy drive to the Cliffs for you. I used to work in Lyons in the big hole on First ave.

I should be gettn some time soon to finish somethin to wheel... I'll go if I get somethin done.

Holy mud fest! :eek: Its rained alot here!

A Buddy of mine was there this weekend and said it wasnt to bad.

Yeah I'm plannin on the hills bein slick and the bottoms being muddy as fawk.

We'll see I guess. Weather looks like it'll be dry Thurs and Fri, maybe the hills will dry up a bit. I know there's no hope for the flats.

The Badlands is worth the drive for sure! If you are interested in off road racing there is a series there called TREC Trail Racing Endurance Circuit. It is desert style racing located right here in the mid-west!

There are three classes for full size vehicles (stock, modified and unlimited) and also two classes for SXS's (stock and modified).

We are currently on a short summer break and the next event is on Sept. 11 followed by the BIG EVENT ON OCT 2 that includes a KOH qualifer. There is going to be a ton of stuff going on at the park that weekend... ATV racing, Motocross racing, TREC, KOH and hopefully even a rock crawling event! We are also going to have a helicopter with a film crew to capture all the off road action!

I seen where Kyle talked about starting a series at the Badlands and then nothing ever came of it. Will this be the event to test the waters or just a one time only deal.

I've been to badlands a bunch of times. It's great there. I haven't been to cliffs and don't plan on goin. All my friends that have always come back with body damage. The trails are tight for big SUVs. But badlands is sweet! Everytime I go I usually campout. Have you guys heard of down and dirty offroad club they're Chicagoland based and have alot of runs. I know of a few small local spots on the southside but are we aloud to be talkin about that stuff?

At the risk of replying to a hijack... WE'RE TRYIN'! Kyle is spread pretty thin as it is and another series to manage might just give him an Aneurysm. It looks like the rock crawling event will be a one day deal for this year that will take place the same weekend as the KOH qualifer. It is *possible* that it may turn into more next year but that is hard to say at this point. We will keep you posted.

I'd be down for some crawlin if they break that down into classes like the TREC.
