RockJeep 10-21-2002, 03:18 PM Ok i'm gonna start saving money to get fuel injection for the Jeep. amc 304 w/headers. So far i've been looking at www.customefis.com 's kit for 840 holleys 2di for about 700-800 +100 for 02 loop, and the howell kit for 1200. What opinions does everyone have on each kit? Anybody know where to get some good deals on any of the kits that are better then what i mentioned? is the Loop feature ad on really worth it? thanks bob tators 10-21-2002, 03:38 PM The loop feature is where EFI shines.... with feedback from the 02 sensor it can adjust the mixture for optimal running on an ongoing basis... Use a Holley TBI to 4 barrel adapter plate (ala pro-jection). The Holley TBI uses the same 3 bolt pattern as the GM TBI. Pete 41willys 10-22-2002, 03:18 PM Love the Howell Kit. called them direct for the $1200.00 price.I have installed two to date in 78 CJ7's with AMC 360.Both Idle around 600 which makes it sweet. Took about 4 hours to hook up and Howell does a nice job of marking all the wires for instaliation.Also had a comouter that was programed wrong and the nda aird one to the house that day.No complaints with the Howell | |
