A friend of mine just signed the title over to me on a 2001 Rodeo with the V-6 engine for FREE. Here is the catch - the engine was run out of oil completely and could possibly be siezed up.:shaking: I pulled the dipstick and it barely read. I haven't tried turning it over by hand yet due to my work schedule this week. I have dropped into the cylinders a cup of ATF/acetone mix to help break the cylinders loose just in case. I've heard this engine could possibly be a Honda engine???? If so does someone make an engine rebuild kit for it?

no it's an isuzu/gm engine, honda passports ahad same engine, look inside a passport door and you'll see the same isuzu sticker that rodeo's have.
If it was run out of oil it can lock up the cam's and or just be normal and spit out the rods,#1 main is most likely damaged.
hell put oil in it and see if it'll start

Thanks Bansil. No holes in the side of the block when I looked. If I'm reading your post right the #1 main crank bearing would be the worst damaged from running out of oil? D I've owned mainly Ford and Mercedes so this is uncharted waters for me owning a different vehicle like this.
