Just curious, now that I got a Jeep and am working right now on tying up the loose ends the previous owner let go (dirty fluids, brakes shot, feel a little death wobble coming on so gonna get control arms, alignment, new stabilizer, balance tires), and soon will be getting bumpers to mount winch and lights I already have....I can now also go ahead and go work done on my old GMC pickup without worrying about transportation, since it was my only vehicle for a long while.
I want to try to find a cheap 6 lug 14 bolt semi float, if Im lucky from a heavy half ton Suburban 1988-1991 I think they had them, so I wouldnt have to get perches moved....or if I cant find one of those, a newer body style 6 lug 14 bolt where Id get perches moved.
If anyone knows good junkyards for axle shopping in the LA/SoCal area please let me know...Ill start calling around for one, and by time I find one my Jeep should be ready to go, and then I can get the rear done on my GMC, and regear the front too....3.08s with 33s STINK haah....
I was quoted roughly $700 from a few shops I called off hand is what they guessed they could get them for from their junkyard connections, which seems outrageous....
Thanks
