If you feed them, they will just come back for more.
Besides, it's not even Tuesday yet.

I've given up on it. Just wish it could be part of the registration process. I mean I wish it would be something they would have to agree to before there account can be created. Just my thoughts.

He would need to know how to spell in order to be able to read the FAQ....

I like the idea of mandatory reading prior to being able to post. On the up side, we will most likely not hear from the newb again.

I don't want to run people off, but holy shit, the minimum of research isn't that hard, especially when it is done for them. You are right, we probably won't hear back from him unless he really gets his panties in a wad over this thread.

You come onto the worlds premier website for wheeling and ask a question such as yours? Come on man, how stupid are you.
Let alone come into the viper pit of IH and you're just asking to be flamed.
We knew what kind of a lift you were asking about, but did we care...nope.
There's a place for asking questions such as this, its called google, binderplanet or binderbulliten.
Now head over there, learn what a scout is, what they came with thats worthwhile, and how you can lift it.
Then, once you're ready to start cutting shit off and building a real rig instead of a mall cruiser come on back.

Dont be a dick to the new guy.... You guys were new to this at one point as well. I say the best way to lift it would be to get longer leaf springs (Junk the stock ones, go with chevy or something) and longer shackles, big tires... oh yeah spring over to :smokin: But DONT just lift it to lift it, that looks like shit. If your going to lift it lock up the diffs as well.

I read the FAQ, searched, and only posted up when I could not find needed answers. It's not rocket science, no one here wants to wade through hours on mindless dribble that will turn up in a search. Look at the BP great newb site, but very difficult to search because of all the redundancy. This Pirate 4x4 we build and wheel, and don't give a shit what your dreams are just what you build.

Its a fraternaty(sp?) You earn your way in. It comes from being flamed. Being called stupid. Reading till your eyes bleed. Building something worthy. Wheeling somethign worthy. Then your accepted.

There is NO room for kindness in Pirate4x4. Get it?:shaking:

People should be required to read the FAQ before posting or doing anything on here. If someone is trying to build a rig give them advice if they dont take it they're stupid. I agree the guy does need to do some reading on lifts and stuff like that. You guys should point people to link(s) where they can learn something (how to lift their truck, install gears, etc). They dont get jack shit out of people being pricks.

We all did our time here, got called stupid and learned along the way. The ones who took advice and stuck it out are the ones you still see here. Quit trying to play renaissance man, it didn't work for the last guy and it won't work for you.

I am confused on why your trying to be the hero for taco 69 guy, who by the very nature of his forum identity is singling himself out as a kid who thinks he can talk about something he obviously has never experienced.

I don't post here much because I don't have anything to offer this community that they don't already know. I knew that from the very first day I came here looking for more information about modifying IH equipment. It is abundantly clear just by reading the FAQ that you are going to catch shit here in this forum and if you don't have the chops to defend yourself then it's really only your fault for being stupid. This is the risk that taco 69'er "Yeah, 69 Dude!!" took.

Now the kid catches some shit, and rightfully so, and your already to defend his honor like the kid doesn't have a thick skin or can't do shit by himself. I call bullshit on that.. you wanna sweep in here and defend some poor bastard for asking a dumb ass open ended question in a place where sharks are always looking for blood? Suit yourself, but the world is full of angry opinions filled with biting remarks and your going to get tired running around defending all of them.
