I'm a doofus or something. I got that 1999 efi intake today and there are 2 holes on the bottom of the intake for alignment pins and some holes to tie it into the power steering. How else it is bolted on??? Any pics?

There should be a series of notches that use a large conical washer under the head of a bolt that threads into the head. The lower washers/bolts also retain the upper side of the exhaust manifold flange to the head...
At least that is how my 91' HO is set up, I don't know how drastically they changed the intake when the fuel system was revised??? Anyone else...
Matt:D
That PS stuff is just to retain the pump not fix the intake...

its the new style. I got it for $82. Better than $1600 for a kit ay? :D it should be done for under $500 I hope.

Think of them as clamps rather than bolts.

ok so I think I get it. The intake goes on the pins to line it up and then it has studs and washer and nut to calmp the flat spots on the intake face to the head ya?.

don't take this the wrong way...but you should probably invest in a service manual. even a Haynes manual will have all the computer codes and decent enough pictures to show how the intake would install.

I have a chiltons manual somewhere around here. I'll get the MPI swap kit booklet too to see how they do it. I just got the intake yesterday and it was bugging me that I didn't know how it mounted. THANKS! :)
