We are going to be fully rebuilding the F-Toy with Trail-Gear products! First comes the fun part, completely gutting it.

It is up on the lift as we speak.

Mostly all TG already....but there are a lot of prototype parts still on the car that will be replaced with production parts. Not much as has been done to the F-Toy since the 2007 season.

 Wow--it's been awhile--didn't realize it had been that long!

Has it been getting use in trail rig mode?

What the heck is that mess of tubing under the radiator?
Let me guess, something to route the winch rope so you can suck down the front axle?

I'm glad to see you guys keeping up the interest in the F-Toy. Now you just need to get someone to compete it for you since Matt is too much of a "Rock Star" these days running with the big dogs :flipoff2:.

That tube protects the pulleys and the winch rope also wraps wound it to keep it out of the way of the pulleys.

Yeah...that's the whole point. I want to use the rig for trail riding here in the near future.

I thought you junked it a long time ago :D . Do you still have the old rear housing?

This is a well deserved rebuild, this thing was driven hard! Will the F-Toy still compete? If so who's the driver?

Jason

I think the rear housing is around here somewhere. Matt and myself are going to compete with the F-Toy at Nationals this year. We will be pulling double duty!! Other than that this will be for trail rides.

gregbrennan2004 owns it---I worked CP6 @ KOH '10 at the top of Devil's Slide with him--I'm trying to remember how I recognized it...I think there was a spot of blue paint buried deep underneath.

He's got an LC stroker in it and it's on the TG 4-link...and I think he had planned to turbo it.

Yeah Matt I wanted to be out there but had a major knee surgery and wasn't up for it. Hopefully I'll be to the next one out here. Looking forward to some updates on your F-toy!

Which spring packs are ya'll running on the rebuild? I need to order some new ones to replace my worn out and flat springs I have now.

I thought I remember the KOH guys running larger lift springs for more travel but would that be needed for a buggy that spends it time more as a trail rig?

Sorry for the delays. We have been very busy TG, so unfortunately the f-toy had to be lowered on the priority list. We will get it done though....it has not been forgotten.

And we are back to it. We are now in the Race Shop full time and are putting time into this thing to get it running to take it to some trails. We have the floor pans, engine and trans, switch and gauge panel, axles, shocks, Front and rear axle housings with our Rear Disc Conversion, and the Trail-Gear Battery Box installed. Here are some pics.

is that radiator a 4 or 6 cyl radiator? just curious because mine runs a little warm and may try a 6 cyl if it is a direct fit! i am running the lc engineering engine...

It is a 4 Cyl Radiator. This F-Toy has run this setup for years with no issues.
