Ok i have done the search thing and did not find anything I'm looking for one. what they mite have come off of. Im doing a conversion. I have a 1981 cj 5 and i bought a 1996 4.3 vortec out of a blazer. (auto) and i have read that i need to get a 153 tooth flywheel to put in it in to my stock tanny (and i know it wont hold up very long but no money) so can any one help maybe a part # or some thing that i could use.

I dealt with finding a starter for the 153 in our 427 chevy (jet boat), it was a major pain, had to go with a mini starter race job that was damn expensive. If you can avoid this flywheel do because the starter options are few and far in between, at least for the corvette motor.

Are you sure that the 162 tooth one won't work? You'd have better torque with this one...(I dunno shiat about 4.3's)

You'ld better check your starter, I think it's griding teeth off your flywheel:flipoff2:

They're 168 - and this is a dupe of a thread he posted in Jeeptech
