Machine:
Hypertherm 1000g3

Table:
Torchmate 3 with AVHC

Tip:
FineCut, amperage set at 40

Material:
10 gauge stainless

Settings:
Initial cut height = .01
Pierce height = .03
Pierce delay = .2
Sensing Delay = .5
Torque = 15

Since the recommended height of normal consumables is .12" from Torchmate, compared to Hypertherm's recommend .0625" for mild steel. What height settings are you using with the FineCut consumables? I tried using Hypertherm's settings of .01" for stainless and by the second piece, the nozzle was fused closed.

Thanks.

Directly from the Hypertherm 1000 Operators Manual for Fine Cut consumables, they recommend .08" for mild steel and .01" for stainless. For the pierce height and initial cut height I would recommend setting them between .05 and .03, as there may be about .02" error with the values on the avhc display based on the material flexing and backlash being accounted for.
