I have been checking out a 80HP propane injection kit for my '00 F-350 PSD. Anyone know/hear anything about these?

Not sure what all you have done to your truck but Propane isn't the first mod. Got gauges, intake, and exhaust? Automatics need help too, Sonnax and tricumulator springs, Suncoast Torque Converter. Chips are optional, but get to those links, call those guys, Dennis at TS and David or Chris at DI, they are all enthusiasts and very fast!

My next mod, before propane is a Torque Converter. I can flash past mine with only the intake, exhaust and a bad ass flip chip. When that happens it doesn't shift till you lift. The other advantage of the hp converters is the near lock up when unlocked, the stock unit slips way too much, leaving your shifts soft and lame, and fuel mileage way short.

I have no idea what I'm talking about, my best 1/8 mile time is 9.99 with the coverter mangling the shifts. Thats at 32lbs of boost and no traction (2wd, stock tires) till 3rd gear. That still left soot allover the import bling rides, and was only a little slower than the Lightning.

My buddy at work has this on his 02 Superduty, and it will smoke the tires really good. He says it seems to have helped quite a bit, he loves his and says its the best things he ever done to his truck.

Ah, I see a tech article in the making :idea: How is the propane metered into the system, or is it like a nitrous system where it only opens the valve when the peddle is to the floor? Any pics/write-up would be appreciated.:cool:

its very simple, ill try to explain it. i suck at internet so i cant post pics now.
i have a 5 gal tank located in custom mount in gang box on flatbed. gas runs through hose (i got at welding shop) from bottle to acetylene regulater and then 12v valve. the valve cost about 40$ (ill have to dig up the scource for youall) fom there it runs straight into the air duct between filter and turbo. awile back i vented the crankcase to the atmosphere( to keep oil out of intercooler) so i had natural spot to run the hose. i carefully tapped the housing 3/8" npt. and put a fitting there. no orifice or anything, just hose and brass fitting in duct.
i got a cool little project box from radio shack to mount the switch.its black plastic with an aluminium faceplate. i put a toggle switch (napa, no cheap ass plastic switches please) and two indicator lights on it and mounted under dash.
i put a 4 p.si. pressure switch (napa, Hobbs switch, just like used for oil pressure.) on the hose under the turbo. that way when turbo boost = 4p.s.i the switch closes. i tried a foot pedal switch but this works much better. gas only comes on when engine under load, and works with cruise control)
now wire it up so when you flip switch on it turns on light #1 (armed) and sends power to pressure switch on engine. other side of switch goes to ppane valve out back, and light #2 (go baby,go)
set regulator at about 5 p.si and run it. keep turning it up till engine doesnt like it then lower pressure to safe. it takes awile to get it just right, i run a bout 15 or so.

aftermarket kits may be more more precise with with fuel delivery, i dont know, ive never used them. i can tell you this works, its power you can definately feel! ive never cared about mileage so i dont have any numbers for you, but it will improve diesel consumption. egt's dont get that hot, but pay attention to that while going up the cajon pass at 85+ mph.

I little more expensive than propane...but will make your truck hum and you don't have to carry a propane bottle (aka BOMB) in the back of your truck
